About IBAS

In 1998 the Independent Betting Arbitration Service, IBAS, was formed under the approval of the government of the United Kingdom. Although the rulings provided by IBAS are not enforceable under law, IBAS members are bound by the rulings of the arbitrators. Failure to comply with an IBAS ruling would result in that bookmaker being publicly de-registered. This public attention would not be welcomed by any worthy sportsbook.

Our opinion on IBAS:
Even though there is no guarantee of payment under IBAS rulings, we feel that any reputable bookmaker who is a member of IBAS has already thought of the consequences of breaking the rules and would not willfully risk public humiliation.
